My research deals with design and construction management with a focus on project coordination and management processes enabled by digital innovation. Public administrations and construction SMEs are the main stakeholders I am currently working with on digital transition. At present, I am a member of the management committee of the EUnet4DBP - European network for digital building permit, of the Italian chapter of the Regulatory Room of BuildingSMART, of the Human-Data Interaction commitee of European Council on Computing in Construction and of UNI and CEN working groups about BIM competences. Previously, I was the Italian editor of the BIM Dictionary platform.
I am a licensed architectural engineer and hold a Ph.D. from Politecnico di Milano (2019), where I developed a novel framework for the implementation of VR systems in design management processes. Previously, I obtained a M.Sc. degree from the University of Brescia (2013), where I also worked as Graduate Research Assistant (2013-2015) and Post-doc research fellow (2019-2022) in the field of BIM-enabled design and construction management. I have been a visiting researcher at the University of Reading (2019 - School of construction management and engineering), a visiting research student at the ESTP Paris (2016-2017 - Constructability research institute) and an international M.Sc. student at the University of Strathclyde (2009-2010 - Dept. Civil engineering).
